[AMP]Why I Like the American Military Party

Day 3,773, 18:19 Published in USA USA by Evry

Hello America,

I recently realized that I haven't written an article in quite a long while. While thinking of a topic to write about, I thought back of previous topics I've used, and was reminded of my two-part story series, The Seven Dwarves;

(If you have a few minutes of spare time, I highly recommend reading the rather funny stories).

Rather than continuing on with the story, I decided to write about why I wrote that story series.

Over the years here in eRepublik, many things have changed. Game mechanics always seem to change in ways never thought imaginable, political situations are constantly popping up, and nation allegiances seem to be continuously shifting. However, the one thing that seems relatively stable is the friendship between members of the American Military Party (also known as AMP).

AMP members are known for a few things. Specifically, the adamant defense of our nation through political means has always been a centerpiece of AMP party platforms (including the constant support for a strong government military, sufficient tax rate, and plentiful budget). Additionally, while no longer a Top 5 party, AMP continues to have representation in Congress based on the strength of its members. Other parties have even attempted to outbid each other to have the honor of hosting an AMP member on their congressional slate. Additionally, when PotUS election season comes around, candidates always try to garner support from AMP (regardless of its 6th place designation), even if it means suffering a gauntlet of questions from our most grumpy member. The respect shown for AMP by other parties as well as by AMP for each other is what keeps me in the party.

The purpose of this article is not solely to make everyone else jealous of AMP members, but rather to show that AMP has a place for everyone. I joined AMP as a favor for a friend a few years ago. I assumed I would only stay for a few months and then find somewhere else to hang around. Little did I know, I would quickly become enamored by the AMP family and become an integral part of what makes this party tick.

I encourage anyone interested to join us, swing by our forums, and see what we are really all about.
