[AMP] RL Veteran Tavern

So I briefly talked about a new thing AMP was going to be hosting in my announcement article, and I want to flush it out a little bit more now. One thing I haven’t seen a whole lot in eRep is a place for all RL servicemembers and veterans to hang out and talk. For ease of writing I’m going to refer to the entire group of current and former servicemembers as Vets.



Vets are a great group of people that I am blessed to be a part of. You have an immediate bond with anyone else who has served, regardless of when and where. Even stronger if the person you’re talking to is from the same branch! While there’s plenty of parties and MU’s here in game that form a lot of community, there isn’t a singular place for Vets to chat and exchange war stories, both RL and ingame. So AMP is hosting just that!



The Veterans-Tavern is a discord channel that is open for all RL vets to hang out and talk. My goal is for it to be a place for Vets to unwind and have people that can relate to where they’re at in life. I hate to get heavy in this article, but sometimes Vets can feel like they’re alone or people don’t know what’s going on. The eRep community is awesome, and I want to harness that community and the Vets in it as a way to relax and let out whatever is going on.

So, in closing, if you are a RL veteran or current servicemember, regardless of rank, branch, ingame party, anything at all, you have a place at the Tavern and I would love to pour you a beer or something harder while we chat and hang out. This is a link to the AMP discord server where the Veterans-Tavern channel is hosted. You will not be able to see the channel, but shoot @emdoublegee a ping or a private message requesting Vet masking and I will get you access.
