Join the new world

Greetings, friends and comrades.
Yet another presidential elections are behind us. With the votes officialy counted, and the results verified by the voting committee, the newly-elected presidents are already assembling their government teams, eager and ready to fulfill their election promises and lead their countries to new victories.
As a part of my ambassadorial articles on the eUK, this time I bring you a short overview of this month's presidential election, as well as a 'showcase' of their new president Aaron Mark Daniels. Enjoy.

Despite the existence of three other candidates on the list, the main 'stand-off' was between two players (and two leftist parties, respectively): Aaron Mark Daniels, a candidate of Workers' Rights Party (center-left), and Frixios2000, who represented the party Every Single One (far-left). After a number of propaganda articles from both sides, and a plethora of "outshouting" in the shoutbox on the election day, the citizens of the eUK showed where their sympathies lay, and Aaron Mark Daniels was elected as the president, with 49.36% of the votes (116). The runner-up, Frixios2000 won 22.13% of the votes (52).



Aaron Mark Daniels joined eRepublik on October 10th 2014. He had shown a particular interest in politics, and tried to be active in that field as much as possible. Seven-time congressman and a member of the eUK government on numerous occasions, he decided it was time to try and accomplish something more, therefore candidating for the position of CP. In the article, Aaron Mark Daniels promised to stand for three important things:
1. Democracy: He absolutely stands for democracy and would prefer the return of full democracy to the eUK, however he supports the current constitutional dictatorship system (the dictator is merely a figurehead, pushing buttons and acting according to the instructions of the president and the Congress), as long as it takes a purely democratic form.
2. Transparency: As some of the eUK citizens were angered by the issue with Argentina and the decision to buy a region back from them, without being informed about it beforehand, Aaron Mark Daniels promises an open and more honest approach by the government, saying how the public will be informed about everything that is going on, as that is their right.
3. Regions: Since the agreement with Argentina ended on August 5th, and it is unknown whether the Argentinian government will be willing to renew the deal, Aaron Mark Daniels promised to start the new negotiations immediately, with the intent of securing and gaining back more of their original regions.

As for Aaron Mark Daniel's cabinet, it will consist of the following:
Country President/Prime Minister will, of course, be Aaron Mark Daniels.
Two Deputy Prime Ministers will be Fataliix, (who is also going to act as Minister of Foreign Affairs ), who'll be assisted by Sambo223; and Mr Immanuel Kant.
Frixios2000 and Nishorgo are going to serve as Deputy MoFAs.
Previous president Sir Humphrey Appleby will serve as an advisor.
Minsitry of Defence will consist of Sir Jimmy Savile, and his Deputies Aleksandar.V Popovic and FightAndProduce.
Ministry of Finance will be run by Huey George, and assisted by Robbie D. Keane.
Minstry of Information/Education will be run by Max Blue and Madelina de Melrose.
Ministry of Entertainment/Home Affairs is the most populated, and consisting of CheetahCurtis, gali2332, Rob the Bruce and Colin ChipPhilfer Brown.

In the end, I would like to congratulate Aaron Mark Daniels for winning this election and wish him and his government best of luck in their future endeavors (and hopefully, freedom from the Argies. 😉).
