Greetings, friends and comrades.
First of all, I would like to apologize for not writing anything for quite a long time. I'm usually much more active, but these couple of days I've had some RL things to take care of and wasn't really feeling like writing (and didn't know what to write about, really). However, I'm breaking my 'silence' with an ambassadorial article about the eUK. I'll be touching upon the recent congress elections in the eUK and, since there isn't really much you can write on that topic, I'll also be including a short interview conducted with the eUK MoFA, Sambo223. According to the official results of this month's elections, a total of 243 citizens cast their votes. Of those votes, 68 (27.98%) were for The Unity Party (center-left), led by Karacticus. Following them is the UK Progression Party (center-right) with 47 votes (19.34%) and led by Neil Lewis. Closely behind, with 46 votes (18.93%) is the UK Reform Partay (center), led by Addaway. Next up, we have William Ross' British Democrat Party USP (center) with 42 votes (17.28%). And finally, Workers' Rights Party (center-left), led by Aaron Mark Daniels, gained 40 votes (16.46%).

And now, for the interview with Sambo223, current eUK MoFA.

NMS: Hi! Thank you for agreeing to this interview and giving as a minute of your precious time. First of all, tell us a bit about yourself.
Sambo223: Well I'm Sambo, I've had a few accounts in this game due to long periods of inactivity (no multis though 😛) I've been a 3 time MoD, 2 time MoFA and a 1 time failed CP. In real life I'm a newly (ish) qualified solicitor in-between firms and been happily married for 1 year now (sorry ladies).

NMS: How and when did you find out about eRepublik, and what's your favorite aspect of the game?
Sambo223: I can't remember how I found eRep to be honest, probably some shitty Facebook advert. My favourite aspect of the game has to be the community. I spend far too long at times chatting to people on IRC whether they be eUKers or people I meet from other countries as MoFA.

NMS: What is the current situation like in the eUK? Is there anything particularly interesting happening at the moment?
Sambo223: The eUK always has sometime going on. We have the usual PTO group of Ajay, Dapper/Bruce Wayne/Prince Harry and co. On top of that as many of you may know we recently got wiped by Argentina for no reason other than the fact they do not like us in real life. We've recently got a couple region back but sadly we can't really do much in fear of being re-wiped by the evil Argies. As for something interesting you should ask our Applby if he's going to sign any treaties while drunk.

NMS: What is the focus of the current eUK MoFA team?
Sambo223: The current focus of the eUK MoFA team is to strive for continued relations with our allies and to push for co-ordination against Asteria and friends to put the current madness which is a boring one-sided world order. We would also love to add to our MPP stack and forge new relations but that is never the easiest thing to do but it's great to have the strong allies we currently have.

NMS: What are your thoughts on the global situation and politics right now?
Sambo223: As I alluded to above the current situation is a bit odd. Asteria seems to dominate the alliance picture and it's little sidekicks follow suit to appease their masters. Of course we'll keep keep fighting on with our allies and hope they lose the will to stick together or 'opposition' can cause a shift in power to stop this boring period of all alliances being on the same side.

NMS: What do you think about eGermany and eGerman community, and eGerman - eUK relations?
Sambo223: I think Germany/Germark is one of our strongest allies and someone I'm happy to fight besides in battle. I hope the feeling is mutual and that our strong relations can continue long into the future. Those I've met in the eGerman community are extremely friendly and have a sense of humour not commonly associated with Germans 😛

NMS: Do you have anything else to add or mention?
Sambo223: In the words of John Rambo I have a message to the eUK's attackers 'Do we get to win this time?'
